LE PORTRAIT
An address with a clear point of view.
Rue Daguerre, nestled between the market and the fromagerie, Le Repaire des Filles occupies a modest storefront that deserves a second glance. The consignment shop is densely packed—almost intimidating at first sight—but therein lies its appeal: the pieces here must be earned. You'll find a broad mix spanning decades: vintage dresses, structured coats, patinated leather bags, characterful hats, and above all, a remarkable selection of vintage jewellery and earrings that alone justify the visit.
Pieces by Nina Ricci have circulated through these shelves, which speaks to the calibre of curation. The boutique is small and the organisation may appear haphazard, but the owner knows precisely what she has—don't hesitate to describe what you're looking for. One practical note: the phone rarely gets answered; it's best to visit in person.
