Porte de Vanves Flea Market is one of the rare Parisian markets where professional dealers and private sellers still mingle in the atmosphere of a genuine neighbourhood market. Every Saturday and Sunday morning, stalls line Avenue Georges Lafenestre and Avenue Marc Sangnier, with a serious concentration of collectible objects, vintage tableware and French ceramic pieces — notably productions from Creil-Montereau and Gien, two references for enthusiasts of antique faience.
Prices can climb among the most established vendors, but by exploring stalls beneath the bridges or arriving late morning when some dealers prefer to sell rather than pack up, bargains do exist. Timing is key: professionals begin to close around 1pm, so arriving at 7:30am on Saturday or 8am in winter remains the best strategy for choice before the crowds arrive.
