Located on rue de Saussure in the 17th arrondissement, La Ressourcerie des Batignolles offers a surprisingly broad selection for a charity shop: women's clothing, shoes, leather goods, scarves, jewellery, as well as crockery, decorative objects, vinyl records, books and toys. Prices range from 2 to 250 euros, which suggests that bargains are not guaranteed across the board. The welcome is functional, the atmosphere bustling — this is far removed from the carefully curated stock of some Parisian vintage boutiques.
That said, the shop is worth a visit at specific moments: flash sales offering 30 per cent off a selection of textiles and objects, or thematic Saturday afternoon sales centred around Lego, Playmobil, jewellery or Christmas decorations. Negotiation is possible if you find the right person. Outside these windows, it helps to know what you're looking for before you walk in.
« Je m’y suis rendu hier, je n’avais pas lu les avis avant et je ne peux que confirmer ce qu’il y a déjà été dit, les prix sont hallucinants, rien à voir avec une Ressourcerie, mais plutôt avec un antiquaire du huitième arrondissement.. Dommage, car ce n’est pas ce que l’on attend d’un lieu comme celui-ci. évidemment c’est surchargé, les objets s’entassent à défaut de trouver preneur. En cherchant bien vous arriverez peut-être à trouver un moule à tarte à 15 € 😰🤣 »
