LE PORTRAIT
An address with a clear point of view.
Tucked away at 57 rue Marguerite de Rochechouart, Merguiller Paris is a ninth-arrondissement vintage address that rewards the effort to find it — the kind of shop you don't stumble upon by chance, but rather discover through word of mouth among those in the know. The selection spans several decades and encompasses all categories: vintage clothing, shoes, accessories and jewellery, with a few Saint Laurent pieces that speak to the shop's exacting standards. What truly sets the place apart is the coherence of its curation: nothing is here by accident, each piece has been chosen with a discerning eye.
Owner Tania knows her stock inside out — don't hesitate to describe what you're looking for, and she'll often point you towards something you wouldn't have found on your own. Prices are fair for the quality on offer, which is far from standard in Parisian vintage. A quick look at their Instagram before you visit gives a good sense of recent arrivals.
