Located on rue de Charonne in the heart of the 11th arrondissement, Shop Emmaüs Charonne operates on the solidarity model that built the movement's reputation: donations from local residents stock the shelves, and prices remain accessible to everyone. You'll find women's and men's clothing, shoes, bags, linens, but also books, vinyl records, CDs, DVDs and small appliances — a generational mix with no apparent logic, which makes each visit different from the last. This isn't Paris's most selective shop, and it owns that fact: here, the philosophy is volume and turnover, not curation.
Regular visitors recommend stopping by on Friday afternoons to catch fresh stock. If you're planning to drop off donations, note that they're accepted Tuesday to Saturday between noon and 6pm — no exceptions, regardless of any other signage you might see.
